Longtime St. Mary’s member Sanae Sugiyama passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012.  There will be a graveside service at 11am on Thursday, April 26 at Westminster Memorial Park (14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683 ).  Please keep Sanae’s family in your prayers as they celebrate her life and mourn her passing.

All are invited to join in the procession and the witness to our neighborhood on Palm Sunday.  After the Liturgy of the Palms, we will join the Spanish service from Trinity Church for Eucharist in MacArthur Park.

5:30pm     Gather in St. Mary’s parking lot for Via Crucis/Stations of the Cross

We will walk to Trinity Church (Melrose/Berendo), carrying the heavy wooden cross and marking stations along the way.  You are welcome to participate on foot, by car, or to walk part way, and take the bus to meet us at Trinity for the final prayers.  At Trinity we will receive communion from the reserved sacrament and have a time of quiet prayer and veneration of the cross.  We expect to arrive around 7:30 pm.

1. Thank you to our buzzing mosquitoes, who collected money throughout Lent for Nets for Life.  Our buzzing mosquitoes netted $389! Bzzzz!
2. Easter Basket workshop on Saturday, April 7 at 9:00am, please bring goodies for Easter baskets. Suggested items: pencils, erasers, crayons, small toys, fruit snacks, granola bars, individually packaged snacks, plastic eggs, and candy.
3. Mother Anna, Father Butch, and any interested St. Mary’s members will be participating on Monday, April 2, in a Diocesan pilgrimage to the US-Mexico Border.   Please    pray for us, and talk to us if you’d like to come along!
