  1. Today – Vestry meeting, 11:15am.  All parish bilingual service at 9:45am.  No 7:30 or 11:45 services.
  2. Today, Japanese convocation education/scholarship fundraiser.  All loose plate offering will benefit the Convocation.  Special donations encouraged.  Please make checks to St. Mary’s and mark “Japanese Convocation in memo line.
  3. Wednesday, February 22 – Ash Wednesday services at 12:00pm and 7:00pm.
  4. Next Sunday!: February 26, 4pm.  Mo. Anna’s installation.  This will be our only service for the day.

Sunday, January 29, 2012 Announcements

  1. Today – Annual Meeting.  In addition to hearing reports on the life of our congregation, we will elect four new vestry members to three-year terms and four delegates and one alternate to the 2012 Diocesan Convention.   Nominees for Vestry are Shenniffer Aldana, Alda Cabral, Craig Stewart and Erik Suzuki.  Nominees for Diocesan Convention are Dr. Gayle Kawahara, Kathryn Nishibayashi, Dr. Steve Nishibayashi, Greg Sata, and Michelle Kuruma (alternate).
  2. Save the date:  Sunday, February 26, 4pm.  Mo. Anna’s installation.

Saturday, December 24, 2011 & Sunday, December 25, 2011 Announcements:

  1. Holiday Office Hours: The church office will be closed from December 26 to January 2.  We will check the office voicemail periodically.  As always, please call 323-STMARYS with any pastoral emergency.
  2.  Sunday, January 8th – Feast of the Three Wise Men: In Latino culture, this is the traditional day for family gathering and gift-giving.  We have 30 children attending the 11:45 Spanish language service and would like to give them gift cards for this holiday.  If you are able to help with this celebration, please make a donation to St. Mary’s marked “Epiphany gift card by Friday, January 6.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
  3. St. Mary’s On Facebook:  St. Mary’s is on Facebook!  Look for Saint Mary’s Mariposa (Koreatown).  Be sure to spell out “Saint”.
  4. EAM New Year’s Celebration: Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 4:00 pm- EAM New Year’s Celebration is hosted by St. Mary’s.  Everyone is invited,  and there will be a potluck dinner at 5:00 pm. Please plan to help us host!
